Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data TekVort collects when you use tekvort.com or apply to the Founding Cohort, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. Applications are submitted through an application form hosted on Google Forms, and typically include:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your location and time zone
- Your education and employment background
- Links you choose to share, such as LinkedIn, GitHub or a portfolio
- Anything else you write in the free-text questions
How we use it
To assess your application for the Founding Cohort, to contact you about your application and the programme, and to administer the cohort if you are selected.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and no advertising trackers, and does not build a profile of you. Fonts and other assets are served from this domain rather than from third parties, so simply reading this page does not share your data with anyone.
The application form is the exception: Google processes that submission under its own privacy terms.
Who else processes it
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not share your data with anyone else unless we are legally required to.
- Google — hosts the application form and our email (Google Forms / Google Workspace)
- Vercel — hosts this website and keeps standard server logs
How long we keep it
We keep applications for the cohort cycle you applied to, and for up to 12 months afterwards so we can contact you about future cohorts. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete your application sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and where applicable the UK/EU GDPR, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to us contacting you.
Email support@tekvort.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Age
The programme is intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and the date shown above. Material changes will also be communicated to applicants directly.
